PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY REPLACEMENT

Replacement players must be not greater than the league age, which conforms to local rules and roster requirements.

1. The call up procedure shall be as follows:

Pony Bronco (6th grade 12 year player old only)
Bronco Mustang 10 year old
Mustang 10 Mustang 9 year old
Mustang 9 Pinto 8 year old


2. Call up procedures for post-season tournament players (i.e., the House League Playoffs) will follow the rules of the tournament entered.

3. All teams must adhere to the following playing rules when utilizing a temporary replacement (a “call-up”). Call-ups must: (

  • play a minimum of 4 defensive innings in the field;
  • not play more than 4 defensive innings if the temporary replacement brings the team’s roster to 10 players. Call-ups will only be allowed with 9 roster players or less to a maximum of 10 players. If there are 10 or more rostered players present, a call-up will not be permitted to play;
  • only play an outfield position and cannot pitch;
  • bat in the continuous batting order after all the regularly rostered players have batted;
  • not play in games that conflict with a scheduled game of his/her permanent team;
  • no temporary replacement shall be permitted to be called up more than twice by the same team (except that this limitation does not apply for younger siblings who have an older sibling playing in the team calling up players);
  • no team may call up more than 3 players for a single game (except that this limitation does not apply for younger siblings who have an older sibling playing in the team calling up players).
