5 STEPS FOR PITCHING OUT OF THE STRETCH

In this drill, we're going to be focusing on pitching. We're going to go through five steps for pitching out of the stretch. Pitchers need to pitch out of the stretch or the windup, but today we're going to be working out of the stretch.

  • Step 1: Take Your Sign
    As a right-handed thrower, my right foot is going to be on the rubber. I take my sign.
  • Step 2: Come Set
    You come to your set position.
  • Step 3: Balance Point
    Lift your leg to your balance point.
  • Step 4: Down
    Move down and out towards the plate.
  • Step 5: Separate and Throw
    Separate your hands and throw.

Okay, so again, it's going to look like: one... two... three...four...(five)!
