GYB Alum Making a Difference

Zac Malis, an alum of Glenview Youth Baseball and the Glenview Blaze is making a positive impact in the community with a new project he calls "TURN2BASEBALL."

Zac, 16, is a junior at Glenbrook South Highschool and has played in the GYB system since the age of 5, playing house league, Patriots and more recently with the Glenview Blaze.  He is currently an infielder on the Glenbrook South baseball team.

Conceived as a non-profit charity, TURN2BASEBALL is an organization Zac founded that collects used baseball equipment and delivers it to kids in need through youth organizations in underserved communities.

TURN2BASEBALL will be holding an equipment drive on Sunday, December 9th from 11:00am - 5:00pm.  If you have any used baseball equipment cluttering your house or garage that is still in good condition, please consider donating it to this cause.

Donations can be dropped off between 11am and 5pm at Zac's home, 1598 Saratoga Lane in Glenview.  For more information on the organization and what type of gear they accept, please see their FAQpage.  Questions can be directed to: turn2ball@comcast.net.

With your support we can help Zac make sure that more kids STEP UP TO THE PLATE.
